We are delighted to announce the commencement on Site of Phase 1 Refurbishment Works to the National Burns Unit in St James’s Hospital Dublin.

The first phase of the works involves the construction of a steel framed elevated plant room to house new AHU Units serving the existing Burns Unit Ward Area. A new structural steel framed services bridge will be constructed to allow for mechanical and electrical services to be connected into the burns unit building at high-level to connect into the existing systems. Internally additional fire protection works will be carried out.

The works have been designed by a team led by Vincent Hannon Architect’s including Garland Consulting Engineers, Marson Consulting Engineers, Factfire and Brendan Merry & Partners.

The main contractor on the project is Moston Construction Ltd. who have been involved in a number of successful projects with us in St James Hospital over the last couple of years. The Mechanical and Electrical installation works have been nominated to Jones Engineering and Vincent Doherty Electrical Engineers and Contractors.
