Brendan Merry & Partners were in attendance on Tuesday, 18th June 2024 for the official contract signing between Tipperary County Council and O’Gorman Construction (Ardfinnan) Ltd. for the proposed new development at Thurles Market Quarter.

The Clients were represented by Sinead Carr, Acting Chief Executive Tipperary County Council, Aoife Cahill and Thomas Duffy and the Main Contractors by Eamon and Barry O’Gorman.

BMP are working with an incredibly experienced Design Team led by Valerie Mulvin from McCullough Mulvin Architects, O’Connor Sutton Cronin and IN2. The project is scheduled to complete in Q3 2025.

This exciting project will carefully restore and refurbish the existing 19th century farm building into a new café facility and also the introduction of a new external canopy which will continue to allow the use of this space as a carpark and a farmers market and will also open up this space for potential new activities such as concerts and festivals.
