We are delighted to see the successful completion of the new 96-bedroom Dunshaughlin Care Home. The home offers 96 private ensuite rooms which include 18 accessible bedrooms. There are multiple dayrooms and activity rooms, café, hairdressers, full commercial kitchen, laundrette and magnificent landscaped gardens and walkways.
Brendan Merry & Partners provided Project Management and Quantity Surveying Services on this project and worked with an extremely experienced Technical Team which included RKD Architects and JV Tierney Consulting Engineers.
The project was procured through a design and build contract and Ganson were the Main Contractor and they partnered with Reddy Architecture + Urbanism to deliver this project on time and on budget. The project utilised precast concrete walls, floors, stairs and roof as the primary structural material to make lightning quick progress over the first 9 months. The project also incorporated bathroom pods for all of the bedroom ensuites.
The projected was developed by Larry Clancy and funded by Aedifica and the operator is Grace Healthcare who are now operating a dozen homes throughout Ireland.
This project was a prime example of effective collaboration from all the different component parts of the project to drive a successful outcome.
