Brendan Merry & Partners are working with BDP and South Dublin County Council to implement Public Realm Park Enhancements in Corkagh Park.
The masterplan proposals for the upgrade of Corkagh Park include provision of
1) a new hub area in the centre of the park with a coffee shop, events space, additional seating and play spaces.
2) an upgrade of the fairy woodland trail including new play features; new seating; new pedestrian link from the lakes; retention and protection of existing mature trees.
3) improvements to the existing car parks.
4) improvements to access, signage and wayfinding through the park. The works have been tendered and it is hoped that they will commence on site in Summer 2023.
As Corkagh Park is a historic site, archaeological works will be carried out in the relevant areas to make sure to avoid impacting on anything that might remain still under the ground.
