Brendan Merry & Partners are delighted to be working with Trinity College once again and TAKA Architects on the proposed refurbishment of the Basement level of the Ussher Library to create an interim Study Centre space.
The Ussher Library will host the Interim Study Centre in the lead up to, and for the duration of, the construction phase of the Old Library Redevelopment Project. The Interim Study Centre will provide access to students, faculty and external scholars to thousands of Research Collections items that are currently housed in the Old Library.
The Study Centre will act as the joint reading room for Early Printed Books, Special Collections, and Manuscripts and Archives collections.
The proposed works have been tendered and Darragh Elliott and the Elliott Group have been selected as the successful main contractor charged with carrying out the works. The works are proposed to start in late Q2 and be complete by early Q4 2023.
