Brendan Merry & Partners were appointed as part of an extremely experienced design team by Meath County Council to carry out the proposed restoration and adaptive re-use of the former St. Patricks Classical School into a dedicated County Archive Building. The building is a protected structure which is currently not in use and remains in a neglected and deteriorated condition.
The aim of this project is to restore the building and include for a genealogy research centre for lecture and study and Public / Educational / Cultural Event / Lecture / Exhibition Space. It is also intended to bring the building up to modern standards in terms of Building Regulations compliance and make more efficient use of the building’s footprint.
We look forward to developing this exciting project and working again under the guidance of Ronan O’Connor (OC + C Architects) as well with O’Connor Sutton Cronin and JV Tierney.
