Telecommunications Software Systems Group (TSSG) Centre – Phase 1, Waterford Institute of Technology.

This is a Three Storey Building over Lower Ground Floor to accommodate Research Facilities for TSSG. The Lower Ground Floor Area is occupied by Servers which have an output of 440kw/hr. The TSSG is an Integrated Research Building of 1,060sq.m. which provides quality Research Infrastructure to support the expansion of three priority areas of research at the Institute, Information Communication Technology, TSSG and Eco-Innovation Research Centre on the WIT Campus.

This new multi-storey construction project on a Third Level Campus was a first phase of projects earmarked for a relatively new section of the IT Campus. The external and internal finishes where to a very high quality but still was all managed within a quite restrictive overall project budget. Brendan Merry & Partners maintained a good working relationship with all parties – Client, Design Team and Contractor to ensure the project was carefully financially managed with regular reports to update our Client at all project stages, to a restricted budget. The Public Works Contract (PW CF1) was used very successfully on this project.
