Another really important project has reached a successful conclusion and continues BMP’s association with the Peter McVerry Trust. This project is located in New Street South in Dublin city centre and is a perfect example of reusing vacant sites for the purposes of social housing. The scheme will see a long-term, vacant Dublin City Council site developed to deliver eight high quality housing units comprising of five one-bed apartments and three two-bed apartments in a four-storey development.
This development was funded through the capital assistance scheme under Rebuilding Ireland – the government’s housing action plan. The construction programme was disrupted by the Covid 19 pandemic but was managed and constructed to a very high standard by Moston Construction. The Design Team was headed up by Fitzgerald Kavanagh & Partners Architects.
