Fintan Bennett F.S.C.S.I., F.R.I.C.S.
Fintan has over 35 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying practice. He has specific expertise in the Health, Leisure and Education Sectors including Ecclesiastical Projects.
Fintan was the Project Director for the magnificent Reinstatement of St. Mel’s Cathedral in Longford and the refurbishment of the roof at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. Fintan also carries out a significant amount of Reinstatement Valuations for Dioceses throughout the island of Ireland.
Fintan also maintains his significant experience on Healthcare Projects and is currently working on Projects in St. James’s Hospital, The Coombe and Beaumont Hospital. These projects range from ICU Developments, Cardiology Units, Emergency Department Extensions, Ward Upgrades and Breast Cancer Research Clinics and Nursing Homes. We are currently completing the Surgical Hub project in Mount Carmel.
He has recently completed fit-outs for new 360 Health Centres for the VHI in Dundrum and Limerick and their major Health and Wellbeing Centre in Carrickmines.
Fintan is also the main driver for the development of the project management services within BMP over the past 5 years and has a number of projects at various stages from initial cost estimates to construction on site to completion. Clients have found his steady hand, experience and expert advice invaluable as Project Manager as they plot their way through the various stages of construction projects.
Fintan also carries out a select list of high-end residential projects for private Clients.
Damien Morgan M.S.C.S.I., M.R.I.C.S
Damien qualified with a degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown in 1997 and had previous Quantity Surveying experience working in Belfast, Dublin and Australia before joining Brendan Merry & Partners. He became a Chartered member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors in 2002.
Throughout his time with BMP, Damien has been involved in a wide range of projects for both public and private Clients from Educational (Primary through to Third Level), Healthcare, Office Fit-Outs, Fire Stations, Art Centres, Libraries, Refurbishment and Industrial projects.
He has specific expertise in Conservation and Refurbishment Projects, recently completing projects such as the Butler Arts Gallery for Kilkenny County Council and the restoration of Francis Johnston House or the Lower House (former Richmond Asylum) on the TU Campus in Grangegorman. He is currently working on the refurbishment of No. 11 Parnell Square for the Irish Heritage Trust and Poetry Ireland and Portumna Courthouse for Galway County Council.
Damien has also maintained BMP’s experience working on many different and varied Ecclesiastical Projects. He has also worked on some private Residential Apartment Schemes and Student Accommodation Projects.
Damien is involved with developing and improving the company’s quality and I.T. Management Systems which resulted in Brendan Merry & Partners attaining ISO 9001: 2008 status since 2006 which has been updated to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard. He is also instrumental in maintaining BMP’s drive to incorporate all the latest technology advances in the industry.
