It is with great sadness that the Directors and Staff of Brendan Merry & Partners announce the passing of Ken Cribbin, our esteemed former Director.

We extend our deepest condolences to his wife Carol, sons Sean and Conor and daughters Niamh and Aoife, family members and friends.

Ken started work with Brendan Merry & Partners in 1986 after Bolton Street College. Ken became a Director in 1996 and worked with Brendan Merry & Partners for 26 years until 2012 when he joined Linesight to progress his career.

Ken was President of the Society of Chartered Surveyors for 2009 - 2010 and was delighted to host President Mary McAleese and her husband Martin at the Society’s Annual Dinner in 2010.

Ken played a pivotal role in developing Brendan Merry & Partners into the practice it is today, his knowledge, communication skills, warmth, friendship, sense of humour and fairness where characteristics he will be fondly remembered. He was also one to offer good advice to those who sought it and was especially supportive to younger surveyors starting out on their career path.

Ken is extremely well known and respected in the Irish Construction Industry and has left an indelible mark on the people who have had the privilege of working with him.

Ken had a love for all sport, particularly rugby and golf and his good company will be sadly missed.

Always a family man and a dear friend. We will all miss him. May he rest in peace.

Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.
