There was a fantastic celebration for Father George Begley and the entire Parish of Huntstown and the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Sunday 13th August 2017 when the church doors reopened and they celebrated their first mass after a serious fire had occurred more than a year previous in June 2016.
BMP were delighted to be involved in this project working closely with the Dublin Diocese, Marsh Ireland and the Loss Adjusters OSG Vericlaim Group and Allianz. BMP were able to bring their experiences of having worked on previous fire damaged ecclesiastical projects such as St. Mel’s Cathedral in Longford and St. Catherine’s Church in Meath Street. It is great to see the Church rise from the ashes of the previous summer to a fully refurbished state and indeed the community spirit displayed between the parish and the adjacent national school who helped temporarily accommodate the parish office throughout their displacement.
