London Update – Brendan Merry &Partners have now been providing quantity surveying services to a niche market over the past 4 years. Our main focus has been the refurbishment of luxury residential properties as part of a dynamic team led by John Barron, MGB Associates, and comprising a full design team and a select list of main contractors. Most projects have also involved liaising with different international interior designers.
BMP work on the project from inception to competion, agreeing overall budgets, advising on contracts and enforcing strict cost control monitoring during the construction stage. Most of our projects have cenetered around Hyde Park from Chelsea, Hammersmith and Mayfair, with another country residence in Buckinghamshire. Our projects have ranged in value from £500,000 – £10,000,000.
Just before Christmas, we were delighted to complete on a major project, just off Kensington High Street, which was phased over the past two years involving a 365sq.m. single level basement under part of the rear garden for spa faciliites, cinema room and full commercial kitchen, the roof of the existing building was stripped and re-covered as part of phase 1 and the final phase involved the complete refurbishment of the four storey property (2,100sq.m.). We were delighted that a major part of the magnificent internal fittings were carried out by David Crowley Architectural Woodwork from Waterford.
